Testing times - Amp Hoops Carbon Tubular Wheels

It was nice to arrive home from work today to find that Pat (the Postman) had dropped off a nice (demo set) of 32mm carbon tubular wheels - courtesy of the guys at Amp Hoops.

These will be the first set of tubular wheels I'll have ridden and the deeper section is new to me too so to say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement!

I'm eager to see how they compare in weight and performance to my Dura Ace 9000 c24s and I'll be reporting back very soon. In the meantime, first impressions are good and there's no denying how light they are so I'm very much looking forward to installing a cassette and giving these a good thrashing over the next month or so.

Jeesh, the things I do for you people....

Today is a good day

It can only mean one thing when, on opening the front door to the postman in your dressing gown, he hands you a black plastic package with a high-vis Rapha label in the top right corner. 

What does it mean? It means it's time for awesome, that's what.

Inside this package of hope and happiness should be a Long Sleeve Brevet Jersey (grey), a matching set of merino socks and a Rapha bidon. More on all of these items later.
